The exteriors and layouts of these homes were designed / art directed in collaboration with Kim Lewis for ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in Joplin, MO.

In May of 2011, a catastrophic tornado ripped through the town of Joplin, Missouri killing approximately 160 people and destroying over 8,000 homes. During season 9 of Extreme  Makeover: Home Edition, the crew traveled to Joplin and offered a helping hand. We built 7 homes, for 7 deserving families, in 7 days.  Kim and I designed these homes to gracefully tell the stories of the lives that had been effected.  It was a life changing experience one does not forget.

Go Team Ghana is a humanitarian design collaboration started by myself and 3 friends, Kim Lewis, Christian Prasch and Heather Hazelwood. After meeting Art Feeds in Joplin, MO, (a nonprofit we designed an art therapy mobile for while working with EMHE) we flew to meet them and two other non profit organizations (Touch A Life and Conner's Song) in Ghana, West Africa. The three were on a journey to build an art therapy center for children who had been rescued from modern day slavery. We fell in love with the children, the organizations and the land. After coming back to the states, we started our team, Go Team Ghana. We hit the ground running and raised over $45k. We filled a container with design goods and construction materials and in less than a year, we were back on Ghanaian soil to bring the art center to fruition.  Only this time, with our carpenter friends and a ton of volunteers.  The center was designed and built with so much love and passion. We are truly proud of all of the hard work that was put into this life sized LEGO building.
